NEBOSH National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Islamabad- NEW 2021 Syllabus

The Nebosh National Diploma is considered the “Gold Standard” in terms of practitioner knowledge. Those who work in or want to work in senior HSE positions will benefit from this course.

The National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals (NDip) replaces the National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety as a new degree.

The existing syllabus will be followed until 2026, allowing students to complete their education.

The National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals is designed for those who want to be a “Safety Professional” and work in HSE management at a high level.

NEBOSH National Diploma Course Content:

The National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals is based on UK law and builds on NEBOSH Certificate expertise. Although the knowledge learned from studying for the NEBOSH Certificate is not repeated, it is necessary to pass the examinations.

Three units make up the qualification, which must be completed within five years.

Unit ND1: Workplace Health and Safety Principles (Islamabad):

This unit covers the following topics:

• Civil law; Damages and liability; Occupiers liability; Lawful discrimination; Insurers; Health and safety standards; Prosecutions; Enforcement; Civil law; Damages and liability; Occupiers liability; Lawful discrimination; Insurers
• Competence, training, information, and supervision are all important factors.
• Organizations with a high level of dependability
• Techniques for identifying hazards; Managing hazards to one’s health and safety; Management of risks
• Quantitative data analysis/loss causation Professional abilities are measured and monitored.
• Contractors / Supply Chains; Societal Factors; Corporate Social Responsibility; Organizational Change

Unit ND2: Controlling Workplace Health Issues (Islamabad):

This unit covers the following topics: NEBOSH National Diploma

• Occupational health services / Workplace equality
• Mental illness, well-being, workplace aggression, and lone working are all issues that need to be addressed.
• Surveillance of one’s health/surveillance of one’s medical
• condition; chemicals that are hazardous; Hazardous substances poses a threat to one’s health.
• Epidemiology and toxicology are two fields of study.
• Asbestos; PPE and ventilation
• Biological agents; Hazardous compounds monitoring
• Agents of biological origin.
• The temperature in the workplace / Arrangements for Employee Welfare

Unit ND3: Controlling Workplace Safety Issues (Islamabad):

– 135 hours, with 40 hours dedicated to the assessment.

This unit covers the following topics:

• Fire and explosion, Fire; Dangerous substances; Safe working environment; Confined spaces; Fire and explosion, Fire;
• Maintenance of work equipment and machinery; Work equipment; Machinery; Lifting equipment / mobile work equipment
• Electricity; Workplace transportation / Work-related driving; Construction / Work at Height / Demolition / Excavation;

Assessment:

An assignment is used to assess Unit ND1 (in four parts – simulations, workplace-based activities, reflective tasks, and a research project). Learners will be required to do some workplace-based activities as part of the assessment, thus they must choose an appropriate workplace/organization.

A case study is used to evaluate units ND2 and ND3.

NEBOSH National Diploma ONLINE:

• The ND1 and ND2 units are now available.
• Available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
• Approximately 475 hours of study time plus tests (can be completed in 12-30 Months)
• 195 hours for Unit ND1.
• ND2 – 145-hour unit
• 135 hours for ND3 unit
